White Markers for Reflective Glass

Reflective glass creates the illusion of additional habitat a bird thinks it can reach. It must be treated with a high-contrast hue, like our white markers on the first surface side (exterior surface), which stand out against the green and brown shades of the habitat.

Black Markers for Fly-Through Glass

Fly-through glass happens when birds see greenery and/or sky on the other side but do not understand the glass is there as a barrier preventing them from reaching it. Bus shelters, clear railings, and walkways between buildings are just some examples of fly-through glass.

Fly-through glass must be treated with a high-contrast hue, like our black markers, which stand out against the light shades of the sky and clouds.

Important Note:Must be applied to the outside layer of glass (first exterior surface). If not applied to the correct surface, your glass markers will not be as effective.

    Each order(not individual roll) comes complete with the following:

    • Roll(s) of Feather Friendly® Small-scale DIY markers.
    • Paper measuring tapes (2) to be used as 
guides during installation.
    • Squeegee (1) for pressing markers to glass during installation.
    • Installation instruction sheet.
